Job Description

Islamabad Diagnostic Clinic (IDC) is seeking a qualified, certified Medical Lab Technician to join our state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory team in Islamabad. As one of the most trusted diagnostic testing networks in Pakistan, IDC offers advanced pathology, biochemistry, hematology, and microbiology services requiring rigorous quality control and diagnostic precision. ### Responsibilities - Perform laboratory diagnostic tests in hematology, clinical chemistry, serology, microbiology, and molecular pathology. - Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, swabs) following standard biosafety and aseptic phlebotomy procedures. - Calibrate, operate, and maintain automated lab analyzers (Roche, Abbott, Sysmex) and document daily quality control runs. - Enter test results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and report critical panic values immediately to pathologist consultants. - Comply strictly with ISO 15189 laboratory standards, biomedical waste disposal protocols, and patient confidentiality policies. ### Requirements & Qualifications - B.Sc / BS in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Diploma in Lab Technology from a recognized medical institute. - 1 to 3 years of clinical lab experience in a hospital or diagnostic center. - Thorough knowledge of lab safety, sample handling, and operating automated diagnostic equipment. - Ability to work rotational shifts (morning, evening, night) with dedication and accuracy. ### Compensation & Benefits - Competitive Salary: PKR 45,000 - PKR 75,000 per month. - Comprehensive medical coverage for employee and family. - Annual increments, gratuity, and opportunities to work with leading pathologists in Pakistan.
