A directory listing only works when it is complete. Customers searching on Google decide in a few seconds whether to call a business, and they almost always pick the listing that shows a phone number, a real address, opening hours and a clear description of services. This guide walks through every step of creating a ListPak listing — and, more importantly, how to fill each field so the listing actually brings calls instead of just existing.
Step 1: Create Your Account and Start the Listing
Register with an email address you check daily, because approval updates and customer enquiries are tied to it. From your dashboard, open Add Business and start with the exact business name customers see on your shop board or documents. Do not add keywords to the name — writing "Best Cheap Hair Salon Lahore" instead of your real name looks like spam, hurts trust, and can get the listing rejected during review.
Pick the city where the business physically operates. If you serve more than one city from separate branches, each branch should be its own listing with its own address and phone number, because customers filter by the city they are actually in.
Step 2: Choose the Right Category and Services
The category decides which searches your listing appears in, so choose the one a customer would type — "Restaurants & Food" for a restaurant, "Home Services & Repairs" for a plumber or electrician. Then list your specific services as separate items: a salon should name haircuts, facials and bridal packages individually rather than writing "all services available".
Specific services matter because many searches are specific. A page that literally contains the words "AC repair" and "gas refill" can appear for those searches; a page that only says "all AC work" cannot.
- • One main category that matches your primary trade
- • Services written as separate, searchable items — not "all services"
- • Areas and neighbourhoods you actually serve, named explicitly
Step 3: Write a Description That Answers Real Questions
Write the description in plain language and answer the five questions every customer has: what you do, where you are, when you are open, how to reach you, and why someone should choose you. Two or three short paragraphs are enough — a description copied from another business or filled with repeated keywords reads as spam and performs worse.
Include the details that remove hesitation: home service availability, cash on delivery, female staff, parking, home visits, emergency availability or same-day service, if they are genuinely true for your business. Never publish prices, offers or timings you cannot honour — a listing that misleads people collects bad reviews quickly.
Step 4: Add Contact Details Customers Can Act On
Add a mobile number that is answered during business hours and, if you use it for customers, a WhatsApp number — in Pakistan a large share of enquiries start as a WhatsApp message rather than a call. Add your opening hours honestly, including Friday breaks and Sunday closure if they apply, because "open now" searches are some of the highest-intent searches a local business can win.
Double-check the address format: shop or plot number, street or block, area, city. Customers copy this into Google Maps; a vague address loses the visit even when the listing ranked well.
Step 5: Verification, Approval and Keeping the Listing Alive
After submission, the listing goes through a review so that names, numbers and addresses are genuine. Once approved, your page gets its own permanent ListPak address that you can share on Facebook, WhatsApp and your shop card. Verification options, where offered, simply confirm the business details were checked — they do not guarantee rankings, and no honest directory can promise a page-one position.
A listing is not a one-time task. Update it when your number, hours or address changes, add new services when you launch them, and ask satisfied customers to leave a review on your page. Listings with recent reviews and complete, current information are the ones customers call first.
